The CTS, a company with a mission

On 17 July 2023, CTS became a mission-led company (société à mission). The company’s articles of association – its internal constitution – now include a purpose and five objectives that reflect its social, societal and environmental commitments.

By becoming a mission-led company, CTS is asserting itself as a responsible, committed company with a strong impact on society. Its purpose and objectives are its compass. They guide the company’s decisions and actions on a daily basis.

Our purpose

"Since 1877, the Compagnie des Transports Strasbourgeois has been shaped by its long history and by the women and men who make up the company.

Proud to pursue its public-service mission, CTS is deeply committed to creating connections, making it easier for customers to travel every day, helping to structure the local area, and addressing social, environmental and economic challenges."

Oversight of our mission

Comite_de_mission

The mission committee

Approved by the board of directors, the mission committee is composed of ten members, including one CTS employee. Its role is to monitor the performance of our mission and challenge our commitments and strategic directions. It produces an annual report, presented at the general meeting responsible for approving the accounts.

Organisme-Tiers-Independant

The independent third-party organisation (OTI)

Completely external to the company, its role is to verify progress towards our statutory objectives and produce a report in the form of a substantiated opinion. The first audit by the OTI took place at the end of 2024.
